Johnson Solo Acoustic Live Performances
Lee
Johnson has many influences from years of playing that
when combined help create his unique sound. To sum it
up you will hear Country/Rock influenced by rock,
blues, country, Fingerstyle, bluegrass, Americana, folk,
and swing. It
is an irresistible recipe seasoned with an energetic,
soulful Colorado sound. This music is all about good
times and festivities. Lee's previous band was written
up in Rolling Stone Magazine as "one
of 150 top performances across the country that make
up the soul of Saturday night".
Lee's
years of playing Colorado's Front Range scene with various
line-ups began in 1989 and eventually led to touring
nationally as a singer/songwriter and lead guitar/lap
steel player for "Runaway Truck Ramp". Good fortune
lead to sharing stages with some of the nation's top
artists, including "Peter Rowan",
"Tony Rice", "Members of
Hot Rize", "John Cowan of New Grass Revival", "Leftover
Salmon", "String Cheese Incident", "Tony Furtado", "Yonder
Mountain String Band", "Acoustic Syndicate", "Derek
Trucks Band", "Moe", and
many more.
Currently playing solo acoustic, this modern
day storyteller delivers a power packed show to audiences
young and old. His focus is on songwriting and entertaining.
Highlights are his strong vocals, innovative guitar
work, and confident delivery. Lee plays with passion,
soul, humor, creativity, and above all likes to have
a good time. Watch for Lee Johnson to gain momentum
as his debut solo CD is due for release soon!
